BBC Wiltshire visits the Scrapstore

This week is Small Charity Week and we held an open day at the Scrapstore today so that our suppliers, supporters and friends could come along and see what we do.  BBC Wiltshire visited and reporter Marie Lennon interviewed our director, Jane Wheeler, live for the Mark O'Donnell Show.

You can hear the interview by clicking here  and then click on "Listen Now" within the next seven days.  Then go to about one hour 29 minutes into the programme and hear Jane explain the work of the charity and some of the challenges we face and why we need your support.  Mark set Marie a challenge - to come up with a costume made out of resources at the Scrapstore in just 30 minutes.  You can hear the result at two hours 9 minutes into the show and you can see the result below.

Marie also interviewed Julia, one of our volunteers, who is embarking on a solo trek around Mont Blanc in order to raise money for the Scrapstore.  The trip will take nine days and cover 105 miles - almost all of it not on the flat!  Please support this trek and the Scrapstore, by making a donation.  There are donation forms at the Scrapstore or you can make a donation online here. Listen to Julia explain the venture at two hours 12 minutes.  You can see more about the Mont Blanc route here.
