May Day Bank Holiday Opening!
The main Scrapstore will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday (6th May), but will be open on Saturday 4th May as usual (10-4pm)
Barty's in Lacock will be open all the way through the Bank Holiday period, we look forward to seeing you there!!!!

New Adult Workshops at the Wiltshire Scrapstore

Creative numeracy ideas for adults working with children in the Foundation Stage.
Come and get some creative maths ideas using the Scrapstores wonderful array of resources, to support children's numeracy learning.
£20 per person (includes a free sack of scrap)
Saturday 23rd March 10-12.30pm
Felt making for beginners.
Learn the creative art of wet felt making in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
£20 per person includes all materials and tea/coffee.
For children aged 10+ and adults (All children must have a supervising paying adult)

Knitting with unusual resources!
Come along and try your hand at knitting with VHS tape, ribbons and other unusual resources to create, evening bags, purses and much more.

Come and create without worrying about the mess!

All children must be accompanied by an adult!
New to the Scrapstore
Hilarious Books Experience
20th April 1pm-4pm
Come and laugh your socks off with the
Pageturners Hilarious Books Experience for
8 - 12 year olds.
There will be funny stories, drama, art activities, games.
You'll create your own comedy characters,
crazy settings and funny stories
...as well as exploring hilarious fiction.
Spaces are limited and tickets cost £15 to include a free bag of scrap to take away!
All children must be accompanied by an adult!
Make and Play for the under 5's!
Each week the room is transformed into a different world!
A chance for little ones to get creative, make a mess, hear a story, do some singing and have a snack!
Runs in 6 week blocks on a Wed, Thurs or Fri.
Next series starting Wed 17th April
Cost £27 for the full 6 weeks – free bag of scrap at each session to carry on the fun at home!

Duchess of Cornwall visits the Scrapstore!
On Tuesday 12th February, we were delighted and honoured to host the Duchess of Cornwall at the Scrapstore. She was kind enough to officially open our new Community Room - funded by those lovely people at Hills.
Jane Wheeler and Glynis Cosgrave (Director & Assistant Director) gave Her Royal Highness the grand tour and she was presented with two of our famous chicken door-stops with the names 'Camilla' & 'Charles' sewn onto their bottoms!
She then joined us for storytime, with our fantastic patron Neil Griffiths. Neil told us the story of 'Esme's Egg' - it was a cracking yarn. (Sorry, couldn't help myself!) She then officially opened the curtains and told us that she was very glad to be here and that she would love to bring her grandchildren to the Scrapstore for a look around and to come to another storytelling session with Neil.
We can't thank her enough for fitting us into her hectic schedule!
